The workplace is one of the most important arenas for many people, and heavily influences our mental health. Make sure your workplace is emotion-friendly! Not just on Emotion Awareness Day, but every day.
The emotional challenge of the week:
As a leader, send out an e-mail to your employees every week the last four weeks before 2nd of June with these challenges:
1)Tell someone; a coworker, partner, friend, someone you trust or me about a time you felt assertive anger about something unjust that happened at work. Did you self-assert and address the problem? If not, what stopped you? Can you do it today? Response from leader: If someone self-assert and speak out about a painful wrongdoing in their past directly to you, take responsibility, validate the persons feelings and apologize.

2) Is there something you are unhappy about at work that you haven’t told me? Please tell me today. Response from leader: Take responsibility, validate the employees experience and do changes if you agree and it is possible.

3) What stimulates your curiosity and makes you eager? How can we make work more fun or interesting?
4) Make someone laugh today! Tell a coworker a funny story from your life, where you felt shame, but have overcome the situation and are able to laugh about it.
